I am still on cloud nine from my very exciting news yesterday. Just in case you missed it I have been selected as one of the 2010 Artisan Award Winners. I can still hardly believe it and am so honored to be selected from hundreds of entries of extremely talented stampers. Thank you all for your well wishes.

Today’s project is a gift card holder I made for a Simply Stars Swap. I used Dusty Durango for the “clay pot” and sponged around the edges to give it a warn look. For the flowers I used the Stampin UP! Birds & Blooms die and the stems are from the Stampin UP! Baskets & Blooms die along with the Extra Large Two-Step Bird punch. The bird punch will be in the new catalogue being released on July 1st. I can hardly wait to get this catalogue in my hands. I know this will be the best one ever! Aren’t they all??? I have a strong feeling that most of our current catalogue will retire and we will have so much new wonderful stuff to create with. And new colors too! I am so excited and I hope you are too. Thank you for checking in with me today.

Artisan Award Winner!

I can hardly contain myself. I am brimming with excitement as I have been selected as one of this years 2010 Artisan Award Winners. What an honor! I can hardly believe it. There are so many talented stampers who submit to this competition each year. It is you ladies that make this such an honor. Thank you for inspiring me!

I also want to thank my friends and family. You have all encouraged and inspired me in one way or another. My upline Heather Summers is the one who initially encouraged me to submit to the Artisan Award. Thank you for believing in me Heather and the Simply Stars ladies you are such a wonderful supportive group. Thank you all so much!

Friend to Friend

Thank you for continuing to check in with me. I’m sorry I haven’t had any post for you the last few weeks. My grandmother passed away suddenly. So the girls and I ventured up to the great white north to be with my family. An 11 hour car ride with a 6 month old and a 2 year old. I didn’t know what would happen but they were both good as gold! We are home safely and I have some creations to share with you.

Today’s card is a fun circle card using the friend to friend stamp set, sweet pea designer series paper pack, pink satin ribbon, certainly celery card stock and brads, and the designer label punch. I paper pieced the birds to make them pop!

Thank you all again for your patience. I hope you all have a wonderful day. To all my Canadian friends I hope you enjoyed your long weekend.

Simply Sunday Sketch

Here is this weeks Simply Sunday Sketch by Heather Summers. This one challenged me a bit. I don't often mix different designer series paper. I am pleased with the out come though. The flower was created by using my scallop edge punch and scoring between each scallop. I then folded it to make it POP! This is fun and super easy!

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
