Simply Sunday Sketch

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Here is my take on Heather Summers Simply Sunday Sketch. I decided that I didn’t want to add a sentiment to this card as I liked it just the way it is and it is always handy to have a blank card for an emergency. I love the inside of this card just as much as the outside. I hope you decide to play along. Please post your link at the bottom of this post as well as on Heather's Blog.

Here is the supply list for this card Sweet Pea DSP, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive and So Saffron card stock. Old 1/4” and 5/8” ribbon, So Saffron Brads, Sherbet and Button Latte Designer Buttons, Scallop Circle #2 die and Perfect polka dots textured impressions folder.

Simply Sunday Sketch

Sorry for the late post. We had a busy weekend. I am so excited to show you my take on my up line Heather Summers sketch. She is such a talented lady. I hope to make time to post this each Sunday and I would love for you to take part. Please post your link here as well as on Heather's blog.

I made this card with the Pink Flamingo DSP. I am really loving this paper. I was so pleased with the card when I was done and I knew exactly who I was going to give this card to. My sister-in-law who is also a demo. Happy Birthday Paula! Then I decided to make a gift bag to match. As I pulled out the envelope I thought it looked just to plain. So I decided to jazz it up. I think I will be making more gift bags. It was fun! and it just completes the look! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend! I look forward to seeing your creations.

I want to say a big thank you to all the ladies that came to my Valentine’s class on Wednesday. You are a great group of ladies. It was a very fun night and nice to see some new faces. I will have info on my next class very soon.

Here is a box I got at the dollar store and covered with Cottage Wall DSP. I made 4 3x3 cards and did lots of layering. I also added to the inside of these ultra cute cards. Thank you for visiting today. Have a wonderful weekend!

MOJO Monday 121

Here is a MOJO Monday card that I didn’t get posted. I love, love, love the sweet pea designer series paper in the occasions mini. I am defiantly working my way through this supper pack of paper. I did lots of layering on this card and the dimension it adds is wonderful. I also embellished the inside of this card. This card is heavy duty! I am slowly learning to not hoard paper and buttons. Hope you like my creation.

Simple Seasonal Thanks

I fell in love with this stamp as soon as I saw it. With two little girls I am sure I will get a lot of use out of it. I made these super simple and let Lilly add her touch. I paper pieced the brim on his hat and popped it up. Lilly had so much fun coloring her thank you cards. I think she did a great job!

Movers and Shapers

I just recently got the movers and shapers die. I wasn’t quite sure what to do with it and I think I still need to play with it a bit more. These cards were inspired by the wedding program in my last post. When I was looking at the wedding program I was loving the colors and simplicity. Then I decided to switch up the colors to make some baby thank you’s. I love how versatile this card is!

Wedding Program

This is a supper simple wedding program I made for a sweet girl I work with. She was showing me different programs she was thinking of and I offered to help her out. She had a fall wedding so of course we did Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla. The main body of the program was printed and layered in a step fashion with the headings she wanted. Then the wrap was punched and folded over with the Pumpkin Pie accent and ribbon. I fastened everything with double sided tape and stick strip so there were no unsightly staples. They looked very elegant and she loved them. It always makes me so happy to see the smile on someone’s face when they see what I made for them. Thank you for letting me share your special day!

Butterfly Card

Here is a cute and simple card I made for one of the great ladies I work with. She was celebrating her 35 wedding anniversary. I made half as invitations and half as thank you cards. She asked for something simple and not to girly. So this is what I came up with. The colors are More Mustard, Old Olive and Night of Navy. I can’t remember the name if this DSP but it is unfortunately retired. I used the texturez plates for the background and the butterfly die. Layering the butterfly’s tied with twine to give some dimension. I am very pleased with how they turned out. Have a great day everyone!

Dahlia fold card

I was so excited when I started these cards. I cased it from somewhere but I can’t remember so if it is yours please let me know. I love the looks of the Dahlia fold. I made 100 of these to swap at convention and I have to tell you that by the end I never wanted to see another dahlia fold in my life. Now that I am seeing it again I think I need to make some again. Maybe not 100 though. I would love to see your creations with the dahlia fold. Please send me a link to your creation. Here are my cards in 3 different color combinations. Thank you for visiting today and have a great day!

Happy Anniversary and 3D Convention Swap

I want to start today by wishing my wonderful husband and the love of my life a very happy anniversary. It has been five fabulous years. Thank you so much for our 2 beautiful girls. I love you so much! OK. Enough of the mushy stuff and on to today’s post.

I joined a 3D swap at convention and I have to say it was great! I got some great swaps back. Here is the frame and card that I made for the swap. I used Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, More Mustard and Chocolate Chip with the Cottage Wall DSP. I love this color combo. I hope the ladies who received them enjoyed them. Have a great day!
