Welcome to the 2010 Artisan Award Winners Blog Hop!

I am thrilled to have you stop by today. It is such an honor to be selected as one of this years winners. I still get giddy when someone mentions it. I want to say a big thank you to everyone for all of your support. Everyone has been so kind. If you would like to start at the beginning of our blog hop you can go to Heather Van Duker’s Blog. or you may have come from my wonderful friend Jodie Oliver’s Blog Isn’t she so talented. You can also continue on the blog hop until you make it back here.

I have some blog candy for you today so please leave a comment as I will be drawing four random winners and I will mail you one of today’s projects.

Here are the projects I created for todays blog hop.

I used Real Red and Shimmery White paper for My Mini Albums. If you haven’t used the Simmery White you reailey should try it. It is truly beautiful! Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Sincere Salutations Stamp Set, Round Tab and Scallop Trim Border Punchs. I also used the flocked paper from last years Christmas mini to keep with today’s theme of Canada Day and 4th of July for our American friends. If you would like to purchase my tutorial for my Mini Album it is available for $5. Add to Cart

I also wanted to make a 4th of July Creation. This was supper fun for me. I love how this card turned out so much that I just had to make a custom box for it. I used Real Red, Night of Navy and Shimmery White Card Stock with the Star and Large Star Punches, Brillant Blue Brads, Star Designer Brads, Real Red 5/8” and Night of Navy ¼” Ribbon, Sincere Salutations Stamp Set and White Gel Pen.

Thank you for visiting with me today. I hope you are enjoying all of our creations. Here is your next stop on our blog hop Richard Garay That’s right we have a super talented Man who won this year. What I wouldn’t do to get my husband to stamp with me. Stop drooling ladies and check out what a talented stamper he is.

Swap Card Saturday

Each Saturday I am going to be featuring a card that I have received as part of a swap. I have received so many spectacular swaps and I want to share them with you all.

To kick things off here is a card that was created by my friend Bette-Jane. She is such a talented lady and just about the sweetest person I have ever met.

Is this just not the most fun card? It has so much detail. I love how she used the eyelets on the wheels. She is a genius I tell you! Then you open it up and WOW again!

Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Inspiring Scrapbook Page

Here is a super simple 6x6 scrapbook page I did of my beautiful bulldog Hyla. This is such a classic bulldog face. I wanted to keep it simple and focus on the picture. The colors just make it pop.

I loved the color combo (real red and elegant eggplant) on the scrapbook page so I decided to use it for my Simply Stars shoebox swap card. I used the bouquet bunch stamp set here again. Have a great day everyone!

Boquet Bunch

I made this card for a shoebox swap not realizing that Kiwi Kiss was not a returning in color! WHAT??? I thought it was in for sure. Oh well it gave me the opportunity to use an old favorite with one of my new favorite stamp sets Bouquet Bunch. This is such a sweet stamp set and the buttons I LOVE these tiny things. You will defiantly be seeing more of this one. Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

I love to make these matching sets. I used the Sunny Day Simply Scrappin’ Kit to make both. These kits are so much fun and easy to use! I used the Alphabet simple numbers die to cut out the number 5 on the front of the card added some old olive ribbon and vola! Have a wonderful day everyone!

You are not going to believe all of the things retiring. I was mostly shocked to see all the embellishments that are going. Stock up on all of your favorites because once they are gone you will not be able to get them again. I will keep today’s post shot and sweet so you can get on to the good stuff. But before I go you should know that all of the retiring décor elements are 25% off and many of the embellishments are 25% to 50% off. WOW! So get a cup of tea and have a look.
